WELCOME TO SWARTWOOD WOODWORKING

What started as an interest in making pens as a hobby quickly became a passion for "sawdust therapy" and an interest in bowl making and other items. Creating functional, beautiful bowls from seemingly uninteresting logs is a fantastic experience. Each bowl is unique in its grain, texture, and feel. The design is a natural process and follows the flow of each piece of wood.

I have expanded to adding small custom work including frames, signs, laser engraving, and other items - ask and see if it can be done!  typically do not purchase wood blanks, but I collect locally sourced wood, cure it in my solar kiln, and then create the finished pieces. Each bowl takes between 2-6 hours per bowl after 2-4 months in the kiln curing.

Do you have a log or wood from a sentimental site (family farm/barn/tree that was cutd down that was planted in remembrance of someone?  Contact me and let me see if something can be created.
